Las Vegas might be famous for its thrilling nightlife, bustling casinos, and endless entertainment, but this vibrant city also has an undeniably romantic side, perfect for couples looking to celebrate or reconnect. With luxurious hotels, intimate dining spots, and one-of-a-kind activities, there’s no shortage of experiences to make a trip for two unforgettable. I’ll share three activities my partner and I personally enjoyed, followed by four additional recommendations, covering everything from charming hotels to incredible restaurants and activities that embrace the excitement of Vegas.
Where We Stayed: Romantic Hotels in Vegas
1. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
Location: 3708 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Las Vegas, NV 89109
Room Rates: Around $300+ per night
Booking: Available on platforms like Booking.com, Expedia, and the Cosmopolitan’s official website
We chose to stay at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, a hotel known for its chic, modern vibe and breathtaking views. The room we selected, the Terrace Studio with a fountain view, was everything we had hoped for. Stepping out onto the balcony, we were met with a stunning view of the Bellagio fountains – romantic and mesmerizing, especially at night.
The hotel itself feels young and lively but still has plenty of secluded spots for couples. The Rose. Rabbit. Lie. supper club provided us with an immersive dinner-and-show experience that was both entertaining and delicious. It was perfect for a romantic, yet lively evening.
Personal Tips: Be sure to request a high floor with a fountain view. While it might be a bit pricier, it’s well worth it for the added ambiance. The Cosmopolitan also has a fantastic range of restaurants right within the hotel, making it easy to enjoy a romantic dinner without leaving the property.
2. Bellagio Hotel and Casino
Location: 3600 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Las Vegas, NV 89109
Room Rates: Approximately $250+ per night
Booking: Book through Expedia, the Bellagio website, or travel deal sites
A timeless choice for romance, Bellagio Hotel and Casino has a classic charm. We booked a Lakeview Room, giving us an amazing view of the Bellagio fountains from the comfort of our room. The ambiance in the hotel is luxurious and elegant, making it perfect for a couple’s getaway.
Dining at Le Cirque in Bellagio was a standout experience. Known for its French-inspired menu, the restaurant also boasts vibrant decor, romantic lighting, and service that made us feel like VIPs.
Personal Tips: Plan a morning stroll through Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, which are filled with seasonal displays and flowers that create a serene, beautiful environment. Also, book dining reservations early as Le Cirque and other on-site restaurants are popular.
Romantic Activities We Experienced
1. Helicopter Tour of the Strip
Cost: Around $150–$200 per person
Booking: Companies like Maverick Helicopters or Papillon offer packages
One of the highlights of our trip was a helicopter tour over the Las Vegas Strip. As the sun set, we soared over the city lights, taking in iconic views of landmarks like the Bellagio fountains, the Luxor pyramid, and the shimmering Strip. It’s one thing to walk along the Strip, but seeing it from above added an entirely new perspective, giving us both a rush of excitement and a sense of awe.
Personal Tips: Opt for an evening tour to see the lights of the Strip in full effect. Make sure to book in advance, as evening flights tend to fill up fast.
2. Gondola Ride at The Venetian
Location: The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, 3355 Las Vegas Boulevard South
Cost: $34 per person for the indoor ride; $39 for the outdoor ride
Booking: Available at the Venetian website or through the concierge
For a touch of Italy in the heart of Vegas, my partner and I took a gondola ride at The Venetian. Our gondolier serenaded us with Italian songs, adding to the charm of floating along the canal through the Venetian’s unique architecture. The indoor ride took us through an area designed to look like Venice’s canals, complete with bridges, cobblestone pathways, and a painted sky above.
Personal Tips: If possible, book a private gondola for a more intimate experience. The outdoor ride has a bit more of an open atmosphere, so consider the indoor route for privacy and a cozier experience.
3. Hot Air Balloon Ride Over the Desert
Location: Typically starts near Pahrump, NV (approx. 1-hour drive from Vegas)
Cost: Roughly $250 per person
Booking: Available through companies like Vegas Balloon Rides
Our early morning hot air balloon ride over the Nevada desert was an unforgettable experience. As we lifted off, the rising sun painted the sky in hues of pink and orange, casting a serene light over the desert below. Floating peacefully with my partner by my side, we had a rare chance to see a quieter, natural side of Nevada.
Personal Tips: Dress in layers, as it can be chilly in the early morning. Bring a camera for sunrise photos, but secure it well, as it can get windy up there.
Four More Romantic Recommendations
4. Dinner at Eiffel Tower Restaurant
Location: Paris Las Vegas, 3655 Las Vegas Boulevard South
Cost: $150+ for a three-course dinner for two
Booking: Recommended via OpenTable or directly on the Paris Las Vegas website
Located on the 11th floor of the Eiffel Tower replica, Eiffel Tower Restaurant offers one of the most romantic dining experiences in Vegas. With floor-to-ceiling windows, couples can enjoy a meal while overlooking the Bellagio fountains. The French-inspired menu is outstanding; I recommend the lobster bisque and filet mignon, both of which were incredibly flavorful.
Personal Tips: Make a reservation for a table by the window, especially if you’re dining in the evening when the fountains are lit up. This is a popular spot, so book well in advance.
5. Couples Massage at ARIA Spa
Location: ARIA Resort & Casino, 3730 Las Vegas Boulevard South
Cost: Around $200–$400 for a 50-minute couples massage
Booking: Available through the ARIA website or hotel concierge
The couples massage at ARIA Spa was a rejuvenating escape from the lively Strip. In a private treatment room, my partner and I enjoyed a soothing massage that left us both feeling refreshed and connected. The spa itself is beautifully designed, with calming decor and top-notch amenities, including a steam room and hot tub that we could enjoy afterward.
Personal Tips: Arrive at least 30 minutes early to unwind in the spa facilities before your treatment. The atmosphere is tranquil, so it’s an ideal place to relax before or after a busy day.
6. Sunset Horseback Riding
Location: Red Rock Canyon (30 minutes from the Strip)
Cost: $129 per person for a 1.5-hour sunset ride
Booking: Available through Cowboy Trail Rides
For something a little different, my partner and I went horseback riding at sunset in Red Rock Canyon. As we rode along the trails, surrounded by the rugged red rock formations and open desert, we felt worlds away from the bustling city. The sunset added a magical quality, casting a warm glow over the landscape. It was peaceful, memorable, and an excellent way to spend quality time together.
Personal Tips: Bring a camera, as the landscape is stunning at sunset. Wear comfortable clothing and boots if possible, as you’ll be on the horse for over an hour.
7. Neon Museum Night Tour
Location: 770 Las Vegas Boulevard North, Las Vegas, NV 89101
Cost: $28 per person for the general night tour
Booking: Tickets available via the Neon Museum website
The Neon Museum is a uniquely Vegas experience, especially for those looking to dive into the city’s vintage charm. The night tour showcases restored neon signs from old hotels and casinos, illuminating the history and culture of Las Vegas in a beautiful way. The signs are iconic, colorful, and bring a sense of nostalgia that’s perfect for a romantic evening walk.
Personal Tips: Opt for the night tour, as the signs are lit up and create a mesmerizing atmosphere. Tickets often sell out, so booking in advance is highly recommended.
